Specialised in Environmental Sciences with a strong research background of more than ten years in the field of climate change and its impact on marine fisheries sector, fishery biology, identification of marine plankton, and expertise in hydrochemical techniques.  Has worked as Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow in various projects funded by ICAR titled “Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability of Indian Agriculture to Climate Change-Marine Fisheries”, NAIP funded project on Utilization Strategy for Oceanic Squids (Cephalopoda) in Arabian Sea:   A value chain approach” and an international project funded by Belmont forum titled “ Global learning for local solutions: Reducing vulnerability of marine-dependent coastal communities’ (GULLS). The projects covered broad areas on various fields related to environment with special emphasis on community ecology, diet content analysis of fishes across various trophic levels and vulnerability assessment of fishermen population along south west hotspots of India with reference to climate change.  Pursued M.Sc and M.Phil in Environmental Sciences from Kerala University on topic related to “Hydrochemical Portrait of Ithikkara River Basin, Kerala, India” and awarded Ph.D degree in Biosciences from Mangalore University on the thesis titled“Fisheries and Biology of Oil sardine and Indian Mackerel from southwest and southeast coasts of India” during 2017. About 15 national publications in various journals and 4 book chapters.
